The Team Leader is an experienced individual who provides primary supervision to front line staff. Service plans for those with more complex disabilities, coordination of assessments, person-centered planning, and plan implementation is done. We hire proven, enthusiastic professionals who are willing to:

  2. Motivate staff and co-workers in their professional growth.

  3. Oversee staff assisting individuals to complete daily tasks, while encouraging independence and positive choices.

  4. Encourage individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue healthy living, fitness, recreational activities and positive behaviors.

  5. Assist individuals to achieve their full potential in employment, social, community, and residential environments through the development of person centered support plans.

  6. Provide professional and timely communication to families, parents, staff, government and supervisors.

  7. Mentor and lead your team.

 

Do you have?

  1. A positive attitude and ability to motivate others

  2. Skill in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those you supervise

  3. Diploma or degree in the Community Disability Services field

  4. Progressive experience working with more complex disabled individuals and other specialized training

  5. Supervisory experience and organizational ability

  6. Valid driver’s license and vehicle (useful in many positions)

  7. For positions in Children & Youth Services:

    1. Teaching creativity and PLAY

    2. Ability to motivate and train a typically, younger, part-time and casual group of staff

    3. Progressive experience and training in relation to children’s issues (e.g. FASD)

The wage level for a Team Leader ranges from $24.30 - $28.84 depending on education and experience.
