EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION PROGRAM
Robin Hood Association's Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP) supports families who are concerned about their child's development in two or more areas or who have a developmental diagnosis.
We assist families until their child starts preschool or turns three and a half years old. Based out of the Children and Youth Community Centre (CYCC) in Sherwood Park, we serve families in the Leduc region, Strathcona County, Sherwood Park, and Fort Saskatchewan.
ECIP consultants work with parents and caregivers to foster development in these areas:
-
Communication and Language: Speech and language skills
-
Gross Motor Skills: Moving, sitting, crawling, and walking
-
Fine Motor Skills: Grasping and manipulating small objects
-
Feeding and Nutrition: Trying new foods
-
Sleep: Healthy sleep habits
-
Social-Emotional Development: Play and interaction
-
Sensory Experiences: Engaging the senses
-
Behaviour and Engagement: Promoting positive behaviour and participation
